How do I get into the UEFI BIOS?
Restart the system and press Del on the keyboard repeatedly (i.e. 2 or 3 times a second) when the PC turns off and starts booting up again.
How do I access the UEFI Boot Menu?
Restart the system and press F11 to get into the Boot Menu.
Note - because the system is UEFI the USB or DVD must be UEFI bootable for it to show up in the list
What Operating Systems are Supported?
3020e & 3500U = Windows 10 & 11
2500U = Windows 10 Only
We only originally intended to support Windows 10 on these devices. However, we do not restrict this, so you're welcome to change the OS yourself. Regrettably, Microsoft did not choose to include the 2500U CPU on the Windows 11 validation list. The other two models work just fine in Windows 11 using the UEFI BIOS update found here.
We have limited experience with Linux based operating systems, so we are unable to provide technical assistance with any Linux based issue. We have not tested Linux on these devices.
What drivers are required?
As far as we're aware, the drivers are on Windows Update, so in theory, nothing is required here. However, please let us know if you end up in a situation where you have to do a clean install and where you can't find the drivers on Windows Update so we can validate this.
Can I PXE Boot the Device? Also known as Network Stack or LAN Remote Boot
Other Models:
Unchecked, we've had unverified reports that it is working on the 3500U model
2500U Specific:
Legacy PXE Boot is Supported (Disable Secure Boot, Enable CSM and set Network to Legacy for the option to appear in the Advanced settings). We have not tested this functionality.
Network Stack & LAN Remote Boot is not an option in the latest UEFI BIOS.
Is Secure Boot Enabled?
This will be Enabled out of the factory but there is the option to Disable Secure Boot in the UEFI BIOS, though this is not recommended under normal circumstances.
Will the system switch back on automatically after a power loss event?
This is Off by default, but you can Enable this if you go into the UEFI BIOS:
Advanced -> AMD CBS -> FCH Common Options -> Ac Power Loss Options -> Ac Loss Control -> Always On
Can I use WoL (Wake on LAN)?
This is untested. It is not an option in the latest UEFI BIOS.
Can I upgrade the hardware?
Yes. The RAM, Storage & WiFi can be changed.
RAM - DDR4 2400Mhz SO-DIMM
WiFi - we have not validated any alternative modules yet
Storage:
2.5" SATA - we're not aware of any compatibility issues
M.2 - 3020e - only supports SATA M.2 drives (WD Blue validated)
M.2 - 2500U/3500U - only supports PCIe Gen 3 NVMe drives (Only Samsung drives validated)
We will gladly update this document if you notify us of compatible hardware you have found to work.
Reported/verified not working:
Seagate NVMe Drives
